the walkabout

don’t you miss the days where you can just go? just walk out the door, pick a direction and walk. just walk. walk till your feet hurts. walk till your mind is bored. with whatever money you got in your pocket. and discover the wonderful life that is around you.

i still wish it sometimes. nowadays particularly. i wish i could walk on home right now, take my daughter to the park. enjoy the swirling of clouds in the sky. pick a flower or two. take a fallen leaves for my love.

oh how i miss the walkabout. like those days spent under the rain. or sun. to just walk out and go!
